You earned a legendary parcel from the monthly challenge ladder, or maybe you bought one from the store for 2,500 AB. But wait -- how do you actually place it in the world? It doesn't show up on your map automatically, and there's no obvious prompt telling you what to do next. Here's exactly where to find it and how to place it.
How to Place It
- Open your inventory (tap the bag/backpack icon)
- Find the legendary parcel in your inventory list
- Tap it -- you'll enter placement mode
- Find the parcel on the map you want to replace
- Rotate it if needed to fit the grid
- Confirm the placement
The legendary parcel replaces whichever parcel you drop it on. That parcel is gone, converted to legendary. Choose carefully.
Always Place It Over a Common Parcel
This is the only correct answer. Here's why:

These are base rates before boost -- your actual boost multiplier scales all of them equally, so the relative comparison holds at any tier. The point stands: replacing a common parcel gives you the largest permanent annual gain.
The legendary parcel earns the same rate no matter which parcel it replaces. So your goal is to maximize what you're giving up -- and common is the least valuable thing you can sacrifice.
Placing a legendary over a rare isn't terrible, but you're permanently giving up $0.051/yr of earnings for no reason. Placing it over an epic is wasteful. Placing it over a legendary is the worst possible move -- you've spent 2,500 AB and gained nothing.
What About the 5% Natural Legendary?
Every time you buy a standard parcel there's a small chance it rolls legendary naturally. If that ever happens, that parcel is already legendary -- you don't place anything, it's placed at purchase. Your inventory legendary is a separate item that replaces an existing parcel, so it can never interact with a naturally-rolled legendary.
The takeaway: don't save your inventory legendary hoping to "upgrade" a natural one. It doesn't work that way.
Is Buying a Legendary from the Store Worth It?
For most players, no. At 2,500 AB you could buy 25 regular parcels instead. Twenty-five commons earn about $0.87/year combined vs. $0.14/year for one legendary -- more than 6x the annual return for the same cost. You'd need to be at a very high parcel count where adding more parcels would drop you to a lower boost tier before a single legendary starts to make sense over raw parcel count.
The challenge ladder legendary is a different story -- you earned it by completing the monthly challenges. Take it, place it over your worst common, and move on.
