Every month Atlas Earth runs a challenge ladder -- a series of tasks that reward Atlas Bucks and, at the top tier, something much bigger. You can participate for free or pay $10 to unlock the premium reward track. Here's what you actually get and whether it's worth it.
How the Challenge Ladder Works
You have up to 10 active challenges at a time. Challenges vary -- watch boost ads, play mini-games, purchase parcels, complete Arcade goals, convert rent to AB, and more. When you finish one, a new challenge unlocks to replace it, usually a scaled-up version of the same type. Play 10 rounds of golf, complete it, and you'll likely see play 15 rounds of golf appear next.
You do not have to win mini-games for them to count. Just play the match and move on.
Each challenge awards points. Accumulate enough points and you climb the reward ladder. The season runs for one month -- whatever you earn by the end is yours, then it resets.
The Reward Tiers
Premium subscribers earn both the free and premium reward at every tier:

What You Earn Per Month
Free players (full ladder): 294 AB + 1 Badge
Premium subscribers (full ladder): 1,324 AB + 1 Legendary Parcel
The legendary parcel at the top tier is worth 2,500 AB if purchased from the store. Counting that, a premium subscriber who reaches 1,600 points has earned the equivalent of 3,824 AB for $10.
Is $10/Month Worth It?
The cost-per-AB comparison against other paid options:

Even without the legendary parcel, the challenge ladder at $0.008/AB is nearly 2x cheaper per AB than Explorer's Club. With the legendary included, it's more than 5x cheaper -- though that figure counts the legendary parcel at its 2,500 AB store price, since that's what you'd otherwise pay to get one. If you don't value the legendary at full store price, the honest comparison is the 2x figure.
Over a full year the gap is dramatic. Twelve months of Challenge Ladder premium costs $120 and gets you 15,888 AB plus 12 legendary parcels -- roughly 45,888 AB equivalent. Twelve months of Explorer's Club costs $600 and gets you approximately 43,000 AB. Similar AB volume at one-fifth the price.
The Catch: You Have to Earn It
Explorer's Club is passive -- log in every day and you collect. The challenge ladder requires active effort. You need to complete enough challenges to reach 1,600 points in a month.
Based on visible challenge point values, a typical active month includes:
- Multiple boost ad challenges (25-50 points each)
- Mini-game matches across warship, bowling, racing, fishing, golf (25 points each, just play not win)
- Arcade goal completions (75-85 points each)
- Survey completions (90 points each when available)
- Purchase parcel challenges if you're buying that month (60-80 points)
For a player already watching boost ads daily and occasionally playing mini-games, 1,600 points in a month is realistic. For a casual player who opens the app once a day, it may not be.
Break-Even Analysis
Each month you get 14 parcels (13 from AB + 1 legendary). Those parcels start earning immediately. Here's how the math compounds at the 30x boost tier with 20 ads/day and typical SRB:

You break even at month 11 -- strictly from challenge ladder rewards alone. If you're also watching the daily shop ads for free AB or completing Atlas Arcade offers, break-even comes significantly faster.
Notice what happens to monthly earnings at month 11: they drop from $18.23 to $14.46. That's the tier drop from 30x to 20x kicking in as you cross 150 parcels. The same thing happens again at month 16 when you hit 221+ parcels and fall to 15x. Your parcel count grows every month but your per-parcel boost shrinks each time you cross a tier boundary.
Do not let your parcel count drift past 150 unless you have a plan for the next tier. Sitting at exactly 150 is the optimal stopping point for most players. Read the boost tier guide before crossing that line -- it is a deliberate strategy, not an accident.
Can You Stack Both?
Yes. Explorer's Club and the Challenge Ladder are independent subscriptions. At $60/month combined you'd have:
- EC daily login AB accumulating toward the day-90 milestone
- Challenge Ladder adding 1,324 AB/month plus a legendary parcel every month you hit max tier
For a heavily engaged player, this combination is the highest AB-per-dollar setup available in the game.
The Bottom Line
If you're active enough to complete challenges consistently, the monthly challenge ladder is the best paid AB value in Atlas Earth -- better than Explorer's Club and far better than buying AB packages directly.
The $10/month is worth it almost purely on the AB rewards before even counting the legendary parcel. If you reach max tier, you're getting 5x more value per dollar than Explorer's Club.
The question is whether you'll consistently hit 1,600 points. If you're already watching boost ads daily and playing mini-games regularly, you probably will. If you're a light player, Explorer's Club is more forgiving since it only asks you to log in.
